What is the worse fossil fuel for the environment?

Out of the 3 fossil fuels (oil, gas and coal) coal is the worse for the environment. As coal is burned it releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as well as other toxic chemicals. The ocean acts as a sponge and helps absorb the greenhouse gases. Coal is the cheapest fossil fuel, but the most deadly. Coming in 2nd worse place is oil.
