What are Microplastics?

Turtle and a Plastic Bag Picture.
Bags are the 2nd greatest form of plastic polluting our waterways.
Plastic does not decompose. It will be with us 100 years from now. It does break down into microplastics though. Fish mistake these for food and consume them. So literally microplastics end up in our human food chain. Contact your Government officials and request the ban of plastic bags. Use reusable Bags instead of Plastic Bags.

Solutions: Ban Plastic Bags (grocery Bags) or charge 0.05 cents per bag (Montgomery
County, MD does this). Consumers are persuaded by spending money, and
they will immediately move over to reusable bags.

Examples of States and Countries that have banned plastic bags: Germany (beginning 01/01/22), India (July 2022), Kenya, Rwanda, and Thailand. 80 Countries also have a partial ban on single use plastic bags. States that have banned plastic bags: New Jersey (Beginning May 2022),
California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New York State, Oregon and Vermont. Blue Knights of the Earth are in constant contact with Government officials about banning plastic bags. We need your help. You can help by contacting your Local and State government.
