Stop purchasing plastic on your vegetables from your local grocery store.
Do not buy your corn with packaging from your grocery store. It costs more to purchase your corn this way. The packaging as shown will end up in a landfill and eventually produce greenhouse gases. Buy corn at your grocery store or from a local farmer without any packaging. It is also cheaper to buy corn without packaging. All you have to do is a little extra work and peel off the husk. Buying locally also helps prevent diesel fuel being used to transport the vegetable from a different state. The green leaves surrounding the corn is called the Husk. The husk can be used for composting after you peel it off.
